It’s been quite some time since my last post.

Today I’ll show some images of a Low Poly Gun I made for my class of Game Art at the Post Graduation in Games of CCAA.

The idea was to create a low poly asset that would fit on the in-game cinematics of the Starcraft 2 game.

The model has 1328 tris, 1024×1024 px textures.

At OI FUTURO, I’m teaching character modeling and texturing (3dsmax, Photoshop) and the basics of character animation (rigging, mocap, walk cycles, etc) for kids from High School. OI FUTURO it’s a new model of school: a partnership of OI (a Telecommunication Company),  the Government of Rio de Janeiro and three other companys, that are responsible for the three technical courses: Script, Multimedia and Programing. So, it’s a High Scholl College, with a technical course alltogether, full-time.

Na OI FUTURO estou ensinando Modelagem e Texturização de Personagens com 3DsMax e Photoshop. Além disso também ensinarei o básico de animação de personagens: rigging, skinning, importação e aplicação de arquivos de motion capture, com o Character Studio. A OI FUTURO é uma Escola Técnica Fulltime, uma parceria entre a OI, o Governo do Estado e três outras instituições, que são responsáveis pelos três cursos técnicos: Roteiro, Multimídia e  Programação. Eu ficarei no curso de Multimídia.

My friend Alex Angelis just finished putting together this video, where he used my model to develop a full rigg with facial expressions and all that good stuff…

We developed a full set of in-game animations – some of them you can see on the end of this video – and I’m finishing programming the character inside Quest3d game engine. Man, that will be most fun! Check back to this blog, because soon enough I’ll be posting the demo, free of charge!
